Welcome. I'm Liza Mahler, a portrait photographer based in Bellingham, Washington, and I'm glad you're here.

I photograph people through many of life's milestones, from weddings and growing families to high school seniors preparing for their next chapter, and organizations bringing people together through events. In addition to that I offer underwater portrait sessions.

Most of my work takes place throughout the Pacific Northwest, from mountain trails and quiet beaches to family homes, local businesses, and photo studios. I also travel to photograph people in remarkable places around the world, whether that's an adventurous elopement, a destination portrait session, or simply a meaningful moment in an epic setting.

For me, photography is as much about the experience as it is about the photographs themselves. I always aim to make the session relaxed, comfortable, and enjoyable.
